I’m a former graduate form RSI, and it was the best school I attended. I learned many things and experience a whole new trade and field of work, but due to my medical conditions I was not able to fully use the education after I graduated. But as someone told me “it’s a trade worth doing and having cause no matter the season HVACR will always be needed”. So I’m going to go back and renew myself into the program after I get better, because it still the the best knowledge I’ll ever gain in a trade school no matter the season.

The program was very fast paced, but slow enough for anyone to get a full grasp of each concept learned in every class. The hands on work really gets you ready for what you will face in the field. I started working in the field a month and half before I graduated, and it really helped me bring together all the skills I learned through out the course so my final class was a breeze. I would really recommend for anyone who is interested in the HVAC/R field to attend RSI.

I came to RSI knowing very little about HVAC or how it would change my life. I was stuck in the restaurant industry as a cook, barely paying my bills, hating my boss, and feeling like I would never accomplished anything. When I heard I could go to RSI for a few months and come out a certified technician ready for a real carrier I thought “wow, if only I could afford to pay for school I could get out of the deep hole i’ve been living in, and be worth something..”. So, I gave RSI a call just to get this fantasy out of my head and continue being a low life. Well that was the first step to the decision that changed everything for me! They told me there financial team very rarely has not been able to set up a plan for students to get the funds they need to enroll to any of there programs. So, we set up an appointment and they were right! I received a grant for almost half the bill (that I don’t have to pay back) and the rest I would make payments 6 months after I graduate. I didn’t think twice and I went for it.

The teacher’s are amazing! Each month you have a different phase (class/subject). The classes are strategically set in order to ease you in and, to have maximum results of success. Every teacher specializes in the subject they teach and will answer any questions you have (they actually like when you ask), they always say “there’s no such thing as a dumb question”, and I love that!

When you are approaching graduation the carrier services department are preparing to find you the job you desire. They are dedicated to making sure every student graduates with a job lined up for them. The success rates of carrier services are unbelievably amazing. They students that don’t get a job right away just haven’t really tried to get one if i’m being honest. There are just so many job opportunities that it’s almost impossible not to land a job right a way.

Please don’t wait, don’t make excuses of why to not make this life changing decision. This is your first step to make you worth more than you ever imagined.

Overall the school was great, it definitely prepared me for the basics of the field and prepared me to get my certifications. there is a lot of stuff that aren’t covered but that is what real world experience is for. Mike from 8th phase was amazing, the structure and material taught in his class are what prepared me the most for working in the field. I can trouble shoot just about anything with the methods he taught me. I think making videos in the class mandatory should be removed, the videos were dry and un-informative. There should also be less down time in classes to keep students engaged and learning. Attendance should be taken more serious as well, some guys would only show up for a week and still pass the phase. Over all I am happy with my experience with RSI and I was able to get a job before I even graduated due to the skills and knowledge RSI equipped me with.

I went to RSI to improve my life and support my family. The instructors were great and I learned more than I could ever have imagined in 9 short months and by what I mean as short the time flew by.
I was hired a week out of school making awesome money with overtime, a truck, gas card, cell phone full insurance and within a month I have my own crew.
Don’t wait, don’t quit, have faith and you will be on your way to taking care of your family sooner than you think!

The overall program is pretty good, my instructors are really knowledgeable, and they helped me quite a bit, especially Larrison Smith, I would prefer a longer course structure, not just fundamentals, and would like to see more class time on blue prints, and more time with acetylene, and more time spent on individual projects, but overall it was a great experience, and I would recommend this to anyone, looking for a career in welding

When I first moved finding a good job was like finding a needle in a haystack. When I heard about RSI I signed up immediately. Within my 4th class I got a job in the HVAC field, at the that point my life has changed forever not only for me but for my family. Learning in school and being in the field help me move up quickly. Now I can take care of my family the way Ive wanted to and even give my wife the choose to stay at home if she wanted to . These programs they have at RSI are amazing. Back in 2011 I found myself stuck in a job that I was never going to make more money doing. I had topped out on my pay scale. I was told that “I lacked a skill set and there was nowhere for me to advance. After talking to two friends that had attended RSI and had gone through the Refrigeration Technologies program I decided to check it out. I attended their open house and was very impressed with what I saw. It was hands on learning not just sitting behind a book and listening to someone talk. We would be trouble shooting electrical systems and seeing how an AC system works from the inside out. I was in. Into the eighth month of the nine month program I was asked to give Benson Systems a call after graduation. Two weeks after graduating a found myself sitting in Benson Systems office getting ready to start my new job as an AC Service tech. I have since moved on from Benson but the education I received at RSI has opened up new opportunities . I don’t “lack a skill set” anymore and my value as an Trained AC Service Technician has expanded my financial future. Thanks RSI. You helped this man change his financial direction.
