When people think of post-high-school education and training, they are most likely thinking of four-year colleges with academic focuses. However, there exist many post-high-school training options that do not require four-plus years of indebtedness and strictly academic study.
The Refrigeration School, Inc. is a great learning option not only for students coming straight out of high school, but also, for professionals of all ages who are in need of a new start, for whatever reason. With four program options from which to choose - Refrigeration, Air Conditioning, and Heating Technologies; Electrical Technologies; Electro-Mechanical Technologies, and the Associate of Occupational Studies in Mechanical Maintenance Engineering - students have lots of options for bright futures.
A 1995 graduate of RSI had just left the military, and was working in maintenance at a casino. He stumbled into air conditioning work at the casino, but found that he could only get so far in the field without formal training. After attending RSI, he earned a supervisory position in air conditioning at the casino, right after graduation. Several years passed, and he got as far as he could have in that job. He successfully found work as a service technician for air conditioning at a major company. That same man is now vice president and general manager of that company. RSI proved to be the stepping stone necessary to help him advance in his air conditioning career.

Other RSI graduates, such as one member of the Class of 2003, found success after devastating work layoffs or cuts. This particular graduate was working as a facilities and maintenance manager when his job was cut. After completing 6 months of training, he got an amazing job - a position as an HVAC-R technician and electrician for a professional NHL hockey stadium! His work duties are managerial in nature, and he is also involved in purchasing, communications, and planning event-oriented repairs. What a challenging versatile job he now has, thanks to RSI, and his own perseverance after a layoff!
Still other RSI graduates are uncertain about which career paths to pursue. They take a chance and sign up for training - and many find that they've come to the right place. Another 2003 RSI graduate didn't know quite what he wanted to do in his career. He took heating and air conditioning classes, and some electrical technologies courses, for good measure. After earning his Electro-Mechanical Technologies certification, he got a job as a technician. Then, his luck really started to turn: Seven months after being hired, he purchased his company, becoming owner and president. To this day, he credits RSI with helping him find his path.
The Refrigeration School, Inc. has a catalog of these stories - the tales of men and women, youths and adults, both, who want to excel. They might not know where to start - or, they might have had some struggles and defeats on the career path before they ever took an RSI class. One thing's for sure, though - the training they receive at RSI, combined with professional, caring faculty and staff, can never be replicated.
