Private Loans

Some students will find that after receiving Federal grants and loans, they still lack the necessary funds to attend RSI. If you’ve exhausted all other possibilities, like your savings or having a part-time job while you take courses, then you should look for a Private loan.

Finding a private lender isn’t hard, but actually attaining the loan may require guidance. The Financial Aid Department staff is willing to help. Keep in mind that if you have no credit or past credit issues, you’ll likely need a cosigner (like a parent or guardian). If you need to find a private lender you may begin with your or your parent's personal banking institution. With an established history and reasonable credit ratings, they may offer the best terms available to you. You may also ask the financial aid office for more information about available private lenders when you complete your paperwork.
