After attending RSI it was not long for me to locate a job even though I was looking out of Phoenix and the career department didn’t have many out of area leads. After working for a year or so and seeing other people hired right out of school (not RSI) I realized how lucky I was to attend this school. I know have great opportunities that a lot of the time come to me so I am not looking for a job but jobs are looking for me. If you don’t mind sweating, getting dirty, and working hard RSI will definitely put you on the right path for a job in HVACR.

RSI has a great hands on training in several of their classes. The amount of hands on training RSI provides assisted me with several service calls during my first summer as a refrigeration technician. I met a couple of graduates from other schools/ programs and they did not nearly have as much hands on training as I was given through RSI.

I completed the AOS Mechanical Engineering degree in a relatively short time ” less than two years as opposed to traditional Associate Degrees “. RSI combines a classroom and hands on approach. You learn what you actually need for a real career in HVAC. Begin with the basics and build upon your knowledge as you progress. It is not all classroom nor hands on which makes it easy to stay engaged and simple to comprehend. I believe RSI offers the feel of a small and tight network off staff willing to help but also the feel of a large quality curriculum. If working with your hands is what you enjoy RSI is worth a look into.

Overall, it’s a great program, solely based on the great instructor I had, Larrison Smith. Larrison was always there to help, always made sure I understood what I was doing and how I was supposed to do it. He was always fair and understanding. He made a wonderful instructor by actually caring where we ended up and that we enjoyed what we did. Larry always made sure, even when if it was hard to hear, what I needed to do to succeed and become a good welder. I am very grateful for having Larry as an instructor, I wouldn’t of made it if I’d had any other instructor.

This program tells it how it is and gets right down to what you need to know to get the job done. I completed the school and was able to find a job right after graduation. Would recommend this school to whomever is looking to get into the field

I came to RSI with a goal setting of completing 9 month program. Well I fully succeeded the 9 month program and now I’m about to complete the 15 program. Not only did RSI kept me interested during the 9 months but made me want to continue my education. Now I will have a Associate Degree which I more than proud of. RSI always enlighten me to progress my education because with this degree from RSI, I can get my Bachelor Degree. I would like to say RSI has the great deal of respect and dedication for the students and veterans who attend or who plan to attend.

It’s a whole new world I’ve discovered. I didn’t know how much I didn’t know. I wanted to grow. The flexible schedule allowed me to do that. I love how there is so much variety to my education with the different classes every month and how they tied in together. And, I love how I was taught with baby steps to deepen my understanding of the field. I can’t wait to come back for the MME program. I’m still feeling the thrill of the challenge and looking forward to the sense of accomplishment. Finally, I can’t wait to start working in the field in six more months.
